Clowning Around-Puffin
Male Puffin captured coming from its burrow covered in mud as the rain poured, taken on a very wet, bleak Skomer.Very funny, comical birds to watch, with there impending arrival ashore soon,I cannot wait to photograph them again.

I love the BG and the soft FG.
Comp is fine for me. I would cut a bit from the top.
Perfect shot Craig.

There is nothing not to like about this one Craig. It has all come together very nicely and the diffuse lighting has helped give a perfect exposure.

I like it Craig but a slight head turn might have made it stronger, not sure if the rain adds to it or not.. Still out on that one and a shame about the hot-spots of white, but otherwise well executed and presented.

I love the head-on pose and the mud on the front of the bird. Whites look a little blown just above the muddy plumage and I'd have prefered the bird not quite so tight in the corner. But a most appealing image nevertheless.

When I first looked Craig I thought this was oiled up. Thank goodness its mud.
Minor nits covered a fine shot of the comical one.

Cracking shot Craig and well done not washing away yourself in all that rain. I'm thinking of a Skomer trip myself this year - p'raps June - should be a great experience.

The composition works well Craig, the whites are a minor nit but the colours, detail and character portrayed are spot on :toast:
