Have loved watching and photographying this bird, got quite a lot of shots of him, some with fish which were so big it amazed me how he ate so many.Wanted some low pov when he had the fish but he seemed to be fishing around the edges more where there were long grasses so couldn t get the lower clear pov on those but were still worth getting to see the size of the fish, may post them at a later date, and it was very very windy poor thing was bobbing all over the place

Very nice - the oof fore and aft is really good throwing all the emphasis on the subject. Simple is so often so much better.

Probably your best to date.

Based on the 'techs' & image it looks cropped?

I assume this was from Worcestershire Wildlife Trusts' Feckenham Wylde Moor reserve, where I believe four were sighted in Feb and from a hide, as these birds are normally very shy and do not come close in.

Thanks Stephen it wasn t from Feckenham it was near a place at Grimley so we were not in a hide was hoping he would come a little closer as he had been coming in very close so I was told but when I was there he came in closer to the edge to fish,so I have had to crop a little on this imag he was quite a bold little fella

The mush frames the image well, and I like the water droplets on the back.
Very nice

All the elements come together for this image. POV, DOF, Comp and Exposure. Crop works well and some great detail throughout. Nicely done.
