Hi everyone, here's another image from my panning practice session the other day, another B H Gull I'm afraid! all comments most welcome.
In just less than 2 weeks, I'm going to Onich, Fort William in Scotland, staying in a Boathouse on the shore of Loch Linnhe. There are resident Otters and Seals apparantly, which is great. Does anyone have any tips/info please, I'd be greatfull for any advice?
Kind regards,
Paul.
If your otters dont materialise there are often sightings at Corran Ferry a few miles along the road, so worth a 5 minute detour. As with other spots keep an eye on the tides - rising tides might be more fruitful than falling. Make the most of evenings as the sun will be down the loch and can extend your shooting window with silhouettes and all that arty backlighting thing. Worth speaking to the crofter whose land has the pierced standing stone Clach-a-charra on beside the shore, and getting a few frames of it - very interesting object.

Your panning technique looks to be spot on Paul, nice shot too.
