Lords & Ladies
I'm starting to look forward to the prospect of widening my photographic horizons with the coming of spring.
C & C welcome

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris, lovely B&W renditioned shot with suitable usage of blur to 'bring it life'. I like the darks and light and the curvature of the plant.

Love the curves, and the subtle b&w works really well. The central placement works perfectly too. Like it.

Great comp and a different view on this wonderful plant.
Congrats on the number of images in the recent editions of RSPB birds ( schools mag ) .

Like it Chris and I'm not a fan of B&W images.

Hi All

I wasn't expecting 7 responses on this post, but glad to see my experimental side is hitting the right note with some. Thanks.

Mark: You are the herald angel - I didn't know about the RSPB stuff (must try and get hold of a copy). Kids magazines are getting to be a recurring theme - had a full-page red fox shot in the German version of National Geographic for Kids. Thanks for the info.

Cheers,
Chris

Very graphic Chris. B/W suits these strong shapes and lines.

works quite nicely Chris, although I find the protruding stamen (?) does break the elegant curves slightly. That's probably just me though. I do like this style of shot so look forward to seeing more.

A well thought out composition and a strong image. I think the conversion to black and white works very well. :toast:
