Stormy Waters
The shot is from Ireland, from last year...I'm going back this weekend and next week for hopefully more stormy conditions. We were very lucky to have reasonable 'sunny' weather for a number of days. I think the shot that I have taken is quite dreamy. I like the weak pinks and overall feel with the motion on the water. Hope you like it too.

1DM2, 17-40, long exposure, MLU
Polariser, ND filter is handheld
Slight condensation between ND and CPL
Levels & USM

Fantastic.

Lovely Ian. The shapes of the clouds behind the lighthouse echoing the water shapes is really clever. Many of these shots leave me unimpressed because theres been too much post-p done and the whole effect is saccharin-sweet-jordan-on-hello-mag-cover yuk.

This has character and more than a hint of wild, and is all the better for its understated colours. Excellent.

A real sense of drama to this image - great movement in the sea and the sky is understated yet perfect for the shot.

Cheers,

Great picture. I love the colours particularly the deep aqua sea and slow shutter effect on the waves. I agree with John Mc that these types of images often look over processed, but this is brilliant.

Cheers
