Has anybody heard that there is a good chance that we will be able to see the souther tail edge of the Northen Lights as far South as Portland tonight? I was just told that tonight between 8 and Midnight will be the best time... but I cant find anything online about it yet.
If it'll be visible (cloud cover looks to be pretty thick) chances are it will be drown out by the ambient light of the city. Maybe if you get out in the middle of the Gorge or west past Hillsboro you could see something.

A few years ago we saw a nice northern lights show in Bandon, and it was this time of year.
