Going camping there next weekend. Looking for any and all photo location suggestions and times of day.

Thanks!

Lots to see and do in Big Sur Rodney. I have written various times about Big Sur photo ops here. But the funny thing is the search feature doesn't work worth beans when using Big Sur as the criteria. So I'll give you a few more links which address this question:

As far as the currently conditions wildflowers are just starting to kick in nicely in various locations (Garrapata Rocky Ridge Trail and Andrew Molera trail going up the mtn). Calla Lilies are past prime now. Night time is great in Big Sur also especially on a clear night. You can see more Big Sur images on my website to get some additional ideas:

Hey Derek, I asked this on FM, but if you don't happen to see it in time, I will ask here too, is there a way to get to the beach for McWay Falls?

No, there is no way down there. And even if there was it is not allowed. But obviously it would be a nice composition.

Did you say camping… Got 4-WD?

Here is an old report I posted on a 4-WD site before the SLR changed me forever.

Don’t forget Mc Way Falls and Garrapata.
A few shots from the area.
