Here's another one from a backlight session in my the garden. Comments and critiques are welcome and appreciated.
Nikon D80 @ 500 mm, iso 250, f 6.3, 1/125 sec on a tripod.

I think this is very nice indeed. The backlighting is particularly nice, the perch is interesting, the composition is very good and I very much like the relaxed pose. :toast: :toast:

Well up to the same high standard as your song thrush, Sandra. Beautiful lighting against a complementary BG and a great POV. A lovely image.

Backlighting looks good Sandra, I'm not over keen on the perch but your comp works well, nice one.

Hi Sandra, you have handled this exceedingly well, especially with the backlight. There is good detail and I really like the comp & colours. Might be tempted to 'lift' it slightly in curves & sat, but that's me

Well done.

Hi Sandra.
Can't make my mind up on the perch but a pleasing shot anyway.
Cheers

Nice take of the robin, Sandra, like the backlight. I also like the perch - it has character - but for me it is not a natural robin perch.

Really nice light but I'm not keen on the perch as is. Maybe if it was cropped above the horizontal part so the perch was not so dominant.

Some nice complementary colours in the image and I like the mellow backlit effect too

I like the subtlety of back lighting and it works well here as for the perch , its great , that’s what robins sit on , together with just about anything else but it is far better than a spade handle !.
