Here are a few images from the Estes Park area yesterday following the snow storm. It was a pretty cold morning, but I did manage to see a nice sunrise from Lily Lake (even though the lake was covered in new snow) in the first shot above.

Driving through Estes before sunrise, I passed through some dense fog around Lake Estes. After shooting at Lily Lake I decided to head back lower to see if the fog was still there. Luckily it hung around the lake until about 9 a.m. Here is a telephoto image of Longs Peak, Mt. Meeker, Mt. Lady Washington, Estes Cone, etc. as viewed from near Lake Estes.

Again from foggy Lake Estes looking northwest toward Lumpy Ridge and the Continental Divide. I cloned out a couple of picnic tables and a few fence posts that were along the bike/walking trail in this photo.

A closeup abstract of the same snowy tree depicted in the previous photo along Lake Estes.

A pair of common goldeneye ducks that showed up after the fog lifted on the lake. This is as far as I felt comfortable cropping in on the image to keep the sharpness on the ducks, but I like also like the speckled patterns on the snow/ice.
Also got to give a shoutout to Jim Casteel and Erik Stensland, it was fun talking with you guys yesterday at the gallery. Cheers.

Nice collection, Josh. Looks like you picked the perfect place to be. #2 and #3 are my faves.
All nice but #4 really stands out for me. Those feathery tree limbs are just awesome! This storm dumped on us as well. Topeka had around 5 in. of the white stuff when we woke up yesterday.

I love the frosted trees in #3 and #4.
Looks like a great morning to be up in the park. I played it lazy and shot from Table Mesa. No clouds, no fog, but plenty of photographers in Chautauqua.
I've got to go with #1, then #3, and then #4. All are great in this series. Very nice work, Joshua. I really enjoy that we get so much to look at with the talent on this forum.
Bill, I wanted to be there in the worst way, but got vetoed by my friend and ended up at Paint Mines. How about some shots from there?

Outstanding Josh. That frost covered tree is especially appealing. I like the ducks too.
