While on my winter project of scanning slides I came upon a box of old film negatives. While this image does not fall into an award winning catagory I thought you might be interested in seeing it. I took this on Fall River Rd. (RMNP) in 1988. There were around 135 bighorns wintering along the ridge before all the building took place. This was one of the biggest rams I have ever seen in
Colorado. It would certainly rival those of British Columbia. The next spring only around 40 of these sheep had survived due to an outbreak of pneumonia. The one in the image did not make it. P.S I know its noisy etc thank goodness for the age of digital.

Noisy, shmoisy! This is an outstanding photo of a magnificent animal! Anyone who wants to knock this photo, I've got some advice for you: Think about what types of photographs YOU were making in 1988. Probably a moot point, as I think anyone seeing this will be wow'd by how impressive a bighorn you've got here. That is quite an impressive curl.
That is one trophy animal, the only rams I've seen even close to that size curl were on Wilcox Pass in Alberta, Canada. I don't mind the noise at all, especially when the subject is so magnificent.
