A wonderful capture Stephen - excellent POV and lovely lighting/colouring with a subtle reflection thrown in - well done

Glad you posted this one it is a fantastic image, serene as jeroen says and with lovely velvety light. Shape of that neck and reflection is very easy on the eye. Did you know if you look at it side on you can almost see a buffalo head

A beautiful shot Stephen. I have never managed to get close enough to get a shot that good!
Looking at it sideways I think it looks more like a Wildebeest than a Buffalo.

Now that's ONE SMART image Judith - nice soft light, nice, if slightly unorthodox, comp - I'd be really happy if it was mine
Bum highlight not blown on the raw I take it Stevo................

Hi Stephen, the more I look at this image, the more I like it! I'd love to see a canvas extension to the LHS, to give the Grebe space to look into, that would top it off perfectly in my opinion. Brill!

Paul.

Indeed, very mellow. Like it

Super composition and viewpoint, just slight shame tip of tail and back of head burnt out.
A beautiful image. Really like the composition and as already mentioned the feeling of serenity. I have taken many shots of GCG but they are always too far away to get any real detail.
