Escher Abstract: Lilypad Trees
Lilypad and Tree Abstract

I posted this in ESS but wanted to share with my local friends who might not visit the critique forums.

Juxtaposed view of a pond full of lilypads and leafless tree reflections captured on the Tanyard Creek Trail in Bella Vista, AR.

Having full sun on the scene makes it look like a water painting. Inverting the image completes the abstract emphasizing the Escher effect.

I really like this, Ed. It has got to be one of my favorite photos I've seen in a while.

I really like this Ed. I think it might add to the abstract effect by cropping from the bottem to take out the ground portion.....just my take for what its worth

Great work, Ed, beginning with seeing this and making something from nothing. Assuming this was taken recently, I'm sure it must be a great feeling to get out and walk around with a camera in your hands again.

I took this image last Thursday Randy. It was great to get out again with camera in hand.

very fun. i agree the bottom is a little messy in an otherwise tranquil presentation. the effect with the rotation is awesome though!

This is very nice Ed. Cool techniques and great results. I think the bottom looks fine and it could look worse if there is no base to the trees.

I really like this, Ed. Great idea and well presented. Tanyard Creek is a neat little place to shoot, and so close.
