Trillium
I am not sure if anyone is interested, but the trillium are blooming. This shot was taken at the tualatin hills nature park in beaverton.
300mmf4 with 1.4x extender.
1/5 of a sec at f5.6 ISO 100.

Wow, this is nice Wade. There are nits, the oof left edge (easily sharpened) and the slight bit of leaf bulging out from the upright petal (easily cloned out), but the horizontal presentation of the plant and crop really accentuate the flower and the water drops are beautiful catch lights. The flower is just perfect, and I love the deep black background behind it all. One of your better shots IMO!

Wonderful Wade! I might have to make a trip out there. I want to do these every year, but the time slips away and their brief bloom in gone before I know it.

Here is another one. These flowers are so difficult to photograph due to there habitat, very thick and dark vegetation.

You've done a great job with both of these, I think. The second one may be a little too dark for my taste, and I wish the tip of the left leaf didn't run off the edge. On the first one I think John captured the little things, but overall I like them both.

While I was at Tualatin River Wildlife Refuge there was a fairly large amount of trillium in bloom.

Thanks for sharing.

Very nice shots Wade. I really like the 1st one. The colors are excellent and the water droplets really add to the image.

I like the first one better because of the way the flower pops out of the background. The second one doesn't seem to be as bright. You might try lightening it up a bit.

It's another 2 - 3 weeks before the trillium bloom here. Thanks for the preview!

I like it Wade, the black BG, crisp detail of the trillium and the water droplets, looking GOOD!
