The Cranes! Still going through stuff from Monte Vista last week, pulling out some nuggets I sped past on the first few go 'rounds. I thought about nudging the rear bird back a bit, or eliminating it altogether, so that the even spacing between the others would look like a single-frame multiple exposure of the same bird, but I got lazy and left it as is.
The only thing missing is Daphne "Moon". From Cloudman to Birdman, eh?
Nice shot! Although I think it's very nice as posted, I agree that the rear bird throws off the rhythm of the shot a bit. I really like the way the clouds (haze?) (airborne moisture?) flows horizontally in the background reinforcing the sense of movement and the flow of the image.
I'd love to see this larger if you have a chance to add it that way.
Thanks for posting this,

You know, as I look at this, I think one of the things that makes it look like a sequence shot is that the position of the birds' wing flapping looks sequential. Now that is what you call a stroke of luck!

Leave it to Niles...always looking at Daphne's' butt!! I like them both but the second one seems to have more flow.
The simplified larger crop you posted the link to is perfect. And it is because of what you stated about the bird's wings being in sequence. Sweet! That and the fact that they make an "s" line too. Incredible shot!

The pano. crop is an added bonus. Way to go!
