I visited Pacheco SP over the weekend and the wildflowers are kicking in. There is a nice variety, all of which I do not know the names of. The primary flowers are poppies and shooting stars. The shooting stars may have already peaked.
Not sure where Pacheco SP is Derek, but there seems to be a great variety of blooms. There's some great wildflower images being posted on the forum. You sure get around and that diligence has paid off in some fine images.

Thanks guys, I love Spring in CA. And the fact that it actually comes early in places is huge for us after moving from CO. While there living a mile high plus Spring comes very late, espcially where the flowers are best above 10K+.
Paul, Pacheco SP is at the top of Pacheco Pass which one normally takes when travel from the coast or Bay area, in my case Monterey toward Yosemite. It lies between the 101 and 5 Fwys off the 156.
Funny that you said that because I had to look up Caliente which you visited recently.
