A great crested newt male from the archives since I shall be getting more images this year, hopefully. Taken in a tank set-up with natural light at one of the study sites here in Kent. this particular male is called 'Clint' (of Clint Eastwood fame) and is probably the most photographed great crested newt in the Country.. He is in our traps most weeks and has indeed returned again this year..

A very nice study of sadly a rare sight these days .Takes me back to my youth and watching these in ponds over sunken white backgrounds .
