... on tansy flower. One from 2008 rehashed with Sagelight and PWP5.
Rotated (90 degrees anti-clockwise)for aesthetic reasons. Not something I would normally do but I must admit it does look better IMHO. It is only an image after all and nothing was harmed in the process only the truth.
Sigma SD14 dslr
Sigma 50mm EX DG macro lens
Sigma Ring Flash
ISO 50
Hand Held
RAW processed in SPP3.5
Finished off in Sagelight and PictureWindowPro5

Crikey ! that's got some whallop !
Good stuff indeed. I like the way you work close up with the 50 mm. I still can't get used to this 150 mm and the distance I have to be away from the subject. I did some 50 mm stuff with a 1X the other day and it was just as good.
keep it up.

Superb shot David, what more can I say!

Hi David.Personally I'm not so keen on black backgrounds for daytime active insects but I must admit the use of the flash does give a stunningly detailed, colourful image. The strong diagonal up through the image is also very good.
Phenomenal detail in both the Greenbottle and the Tansey. Colours are stunning.
Thanks for the info re the Sagelight. Will have a look at it but really have to learn to use the software I have properly.

Lovely colours and great detail, personally I find black borders overpowering and distracting.
