It has been about one year that I have been posting on NPN and it has been nothing short of great! I have found that by posting pictures and looking at others I have grown as a photographer. I now find many things that seemed like Greek to me make sense. Everyone has been very helpful in showing me where my work could improve! For that I say thak you very much!! This site is truly special for someone trying to improve their photographic skills and awareness. I am sometimes amazed at the time very accomplished photographers will spend bringing the rest of us up to their level. In closing THANK YOU NPN. I know my journey has just begun.

Hi Mike - Your story is not unusual at all - NPN has been a GREAT learning resource for all of us. Definitely the best nature photography website on the web. Thanks and kudos to Jim and Donna for that.

...and looking at others...I have grown as a photographer.
I think that "looking at others" part is pretty key, Michael. That was something that surprised me when I started participating - that trying to think of comments on other people's photos helps a lot more than getting feedback on my own. Glad to see that you've learned the same thing - and I'll second what Bill said!

The sharing and collaborating with others is nothing short of great. Thanks to all who continually make NPN the wonderful resource it is for all photographers. And of course, Jim and Donna, we couldn't do it without all your great efforts. Keep up the outstanding work! Many Thanks.

This really has been of the best resources for me over the years. I agree with Bill and others, this is the best nature photography community on the web. I'll add my thanks to Jim and Donna as well, thank you for this amazing online resource and community. Keep up the great work.\
Jim and Donna run a 1st class operation. Its funny at first you are very reluctant to comment on others until you know what to look for. At my stage I find it easier to indicate what I like in a photo. I hope to achieve a level where I can offer the type of help I have been given on the site. I am happy to see others share my view of the site.

Thanks to all for your kudos! But as Mike stated in his original post, it's really NPN members who make this place so good!
