Dunlin, Calidris alpina still in winter plumage.
This was taken during a last blast at the Norfolk Snow Buntings which are now pretty much in summer garb.
A lot of new images (mostly Barn Owls) on my blog and Flickr.

Very nice indeed and the inclusion of the water droplet just tops it off. I would lose the small amount of dark area at the top of the frame as it might drag the eye of the viewer.

Kind regards,

Brett :toast:

Excellent portrait and really nice water textures.I haven't seen many pics of these type of birds actually in the water(as opposed to at the edge of the water).

As has been said, the droplet of water really adds to this image but even without it it would be a fine portrait and well executed. A bit more space to the right would have been even better but still a lovely image.

A bit too large in the frame for my personal taste, but otherwise superb.
