Can you guess what it is!?
Hi all

Just a bit of fun really. I was editing these pictures and saw this crop whilst checking at 100%! I was amazed at the little intricate patterns and colours when viewing at this magnification! The natural kingdom just never ceases to amaze!

Canon 40D
Canon 100mm f2.8 macro
ISO 320
1/200sec at f/7.1

As my next post was going to be the eye of a toad I think I may have a shrewd idea! As the skin is smoother than that of a toad I am guessing this is a frog.

Tympanic membrane and the eye of a common frog..? I think frogs and toads eyes make for brilliant imagery as in this case..

Yup, all correct with Frog. Its amazing what can be seen through the macro lens. If anybody does photograph frogs in the near future check out the eye. Its always changing its reflectance depending on where the light source is. Its light gold flecks in there. Stunning. Does anybody know the function of these 'gold' bits? Im just going to research tympanic membrane (thanks brett!!). :toast:
