Aspen trees on Conway Summit near highway 395.

It's rare that I make any images during midday sun, but this scene seemed to work fine in this light. I liked how the grove of aspens seemed to snake across the hillside.

The small version lost a lot of detail. Here's the large version.

Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions are very much appreciated!

Mat, the scene does have some nice things going for it here, however, the link to the larger version is not working. Would like to see it as well.

Oops sorry about that. Fixed.

The link works OK now, Mat.
This area in the height of fall colors is always magical. I think the overall starkness to this image works too, admittedly though, with all the white snow it can be tough to get really strong detail in the midday light. But, as always, posted images is not always the best arena to judge the overall detail, I would make a print and see what you think of the scene from that. Again, this area is always terrific for viewing and photographing in all seasons IMO, even in the harsh winter as you've so nicely captured here.

Nicely titled. I like how the bands of trees meanders down throughout the frame. Well seen and captured!
