The locals are building again this year,

D300 600mm f4 +1.4 TC
400 iso 1:650th +.3EV

600x1.4x1.5 - That's quite far away then!

The expression of resigned ennui from the bird makes this... I'm less happy with the background, a bit busy. A worthwhile shot though, just for that 'look'.

OH! yes the other leg sports a ring so happy when he lifted it!!
overall it comes out at 1250mm!!!!

Nice capture of this beautiful bird. I agree with Andy about the background though. It is indeed a bit busy.

Something very strange going on with the BG and looks as though you have tried to blur it to reduce the noise levels. But it's just so very busy and the perch is not the best it could be.. I think some more visits would offer you some better opportunities. Good luck.
