Monofrog
Not exactly a 'straight' image... Cloning-out to remove duckweed, burn-in and vignette. Also a little touch-up on the eye reflection to remove the image of my mate alongside me...

Rather a surreal looking image. Just up my street.  :wavey:

I find the vignetting a little bit over powering on this one and I think I would have been inclined to move in closer to the subject and therefore use less of it. I think the Mono can work well with these critters and in the context nice work and for thinking outside the box.

Really like this and the vignette and black and white really adds to the image. :toast:

love this image. The glistening effect almost gives the image texture.

Thanks. Here's it in colour (just to muddy the waters - no pun made - further). I like this too, in a different way. It's amazing the variation in colours of the common frog...

Great! Love the mono treatment - common or not its a corker!

Hi Andy,

I really like the mono version, great textures and tones. If I was being picky I would have liked it just a touch to the left so its less central, but no big deal.

Cheers,

Lewis.

Both are excellent, but the colour image is my favourite.

I like it fairly central looking at it as an abstract, rather than a creature 'looking' to the right, but I have to say, with the colour version, it seems to switch in my mind back to being a frog, and to the left is probably better. Funny how the view changes depending on whether it is mono or colour...

Both are quite excellent, but I think colour version has the edge. :toast:
