Since the beginning of February at least four blackcaps, visit my garden regularly. They feed on apples and also on fat containing peanuts and insects. I've made several attempts photographing them but so far I only managed to take a decent shot of a female. Hopefully I will get one of the male too.

A superb shot Sandra. I love the composition, colour and sharpness. Well done.

Like it a lot Sandra, good delicate detail with soft colours. Perhaps not the most flattering POV of this bird, but a good one non the less. The 'perch' works well, especially with the lichen. All colours are very sympathetic and the mottled BG lifts the bird well, no 'studio background' for me! Doesn't warrant, 'nice image' IMHO.

Yeah, this is a cracker Sandra! Love everything about it, good luck getting the male.
Well captured indeed. Loads of detail, good BG and nice perch. Never been able to get any of these. They are defintiely one of my bogey birds. Maybe this year.........
