Walking the rocky areas around upper Jefferson Creek in the Olympics, while waiting for a sunset that never came, i was shooting stuff like this. canon 5d, 24-70 at f/4 at 70mm. And by the way, did anyone catch the sunrise this morning? Saturday morning? I just missed it coming home from work, it was a beautiful sun, pinkish red on the horizon, well, what ever horizon we get here between the cascades and olympics.

Cliff, great subject, amazing detail well done. The lower to middle right of the frame looks a little dark and pulls my eye away.

Very nice Cliff.... he looks lonely in all that moss. The delicate detail leaves makes you want to see more or a larger view to appreciate this. Great job!
Lovely little fluted fungi appearing to like its mossy bed. Great shot as is; terrific for a macro subject. Too bad about the no-show sunset, but this is a more than adequate replacement!

Nice work, Cliff. It is an interesting little member of the fungi family...
