Northern Goshawk on larch (c).
I'm a member of Duns C.C.(about 10 members) and we hired a falconer for the day to come to our selected sites, here in the Borders. This is one of the images and I liked the camouflage elements within the picture.
There is a small crop from the bottom and right.
Canon 1D Mk11N,300mm canon lens,1/250 f6.3 and iso320.

A nice shot Phil, a bird I have not seen at close quarters :toast:

A lovely bird Phil but I think I would have preferred to see it against a BG where it stands out more.

Hi Phil,

Just how you see them in the wild in this country, if you're lucky! Nice shot.

Cheers,

Lewis.

Exactly how I'd expect to see one in the wild (when I finally do see one). Perhaps a little selective sharpening on the bird might make it slightly more distinct from the tree?

Nice environmental shot and shows how well they blend into the surroundings .
