Blackbird
Hello friends,
thanks all for your comments to my last post.

Here I am not sure about comp. The bird is a bit centered but I wanted to keep the trunk on the right side in the picture. What do you think?

C and C welcome,
thanks for looking

Being central doesn't bother me. The POV, pose, comp and BG combine to produce an excellent image IMO.

Hi Bertl,

I quite like this as it is too. Really nice detailed shot with a good bg. The females are great aren't they, their colours vary so much.

Cheers,

Lewis.

I'm not really sure how you could change it Bertl but I agree with David and Lewis it is nice as it is. Colours and lighting really make it IMO. :toast: :wavey:

I can't see any way you could change it compositionally and I don't see any need to.
Fine shot.

You had to present it this way. Without the trunk, the perch would just be sitting unsupported in mid air. Because of the pose of the bird I am not worried by it being too central.

works well as it is Bertl and the bird's colours complement those of the background very nicely.

Keeping the trunk in makes sense. Beautifully lit and nicely composed :toast:

Lovely shot of what is regarded as a common bird and as such often overlooked. :toast:
