Bit of sun today and snow. Not much time to make the most of it but managed to grab 20 minutes with the garden sparrows. This is a 50% crop. Reasonably happy with the composition but had to do quite a bit of PS work to remove distracting, background rose stems. Then found myself plagued with little purple spots, that I suspect came from over use of the healing tool. Any ideas as to how to improve improve my PS techique gratefully received. (I use CS1).
beautiful Malcolm I love the muted colours that match the plumage perfectly. great composition too. might consider shaving some off top and left sides. good catchlight and superb light.
I think this is an attractive, simple composition that works well. The background cloning is not obvious. The bramble branch makes an excellent perch and it is positioned well in the frame.
