Perhaps I'm missing something or it's been addressed before - hey I'm new here.

Given that computers and programs are so very much a part of modern Photography why isn't there a forum dedicated to that aspect? I'm currently running-in to problems on my brand-new computer and would love to tap the experienced minds who post here.

If I've missed something or it's been brought-up before - my apologies.

I expect that the Digital Imaging forum might be the place you're looking for.

Greg,

Since this is a brand new computer, and presumably under warranty, I suggest you access the vendor's support area. Be nice, but firm.

You can also describe your issue at our Digital Imaging forum and we'll try to help by giving some general direction. More often than not, it is difficult to diagnose and fix very speciifc issues.

Be sure to give us the specs of your machine, the OS and any service packs, and a detailed description of the problem; text from any error messages are helpful, as well.

Thanks Preston. Actually I built this computer myself and designed and built it with Photography in mind. It has all the latest technology in hardware but it has never ran quite right. It may be several issues going-on that I'm not clear on. I'm seriously leaning towards re-formatting the HD and starting all over, in fact I'm sure that's what I'll do as I can't stand the way this thing is not working. If I have anymore questions I'll post them in the proper forum. Thanks again for the help...

Greg,
If your OS is Windows 7, there is a windows Seven forums ( http://www.sevenforums.com/ ). They will most likely be able to answer your questions. A good knowledge base for Window 7.
