Well done Phil, the droplets really set the scene.
BTW Having spoken recently to a well known wildlife photographer about these 'bird calls' in a similar light, it appears that the RSPB take a rather dim view of this practice, even on Private land!!! Sadly I cannot find anywhere on their site about this, but I thought I might give you a quick 'heads up'.
A superb shot! Great colours and exposure is spot on - I love the water droplets too.
The birdsong issue is an interesting one - I assume it could be a problem during the breeding season if used a lot and if a lot of people were doing it?? Probably not a lot of research on the subject!

Hi Phil, this is a great capture of a beautiful bird and I like the water droplets. I am sure if you try you will get the throat black.

Hi Phil,
Thats a superb shot! Also not sure on the ethics of using tape lures on a species like this, but I'm sure you have more of an idea than me.
Cheers,
Lewis.

These are stunning birds and beautiful markings, great detail and the water droplets adds movement to the image.I have to say Phil I admire your honesty in regards to using a tape to attact the bird,a good lesson in intregrity/honesty in acquiring the image I feel

I agree entirely about using tapes on nesting birds, this was a non-breeding bird and the tape used for short periods of 5-10 minutes. Also note bird soon lost complete interest.
Hi a fine image Philip of a species I would love closer images of, although I don't agree with tape luring is nice to see that you are sensible with its use and are honest enough to say you've used it.
