Hey all,
As you already know (I'm a bit late), there were a handful of photographers up at Grand Falls this weekend. On Saturday I met up with awesome photographer John Mumaw. It was great to finally meet him and I hope to take advantage of his inside knowledge and meet up for more shoots in the lesser-known areas on the Navajo Rez :)
Sunday, after visiting an unexpectedly dry waterfall in Sedona, I beelined back to Grand Falls to try my hand again.
I certainly don't like coming up behind and being the 3rd to post from a weekend trip here, but here it goes anyhow. Sorry if you are all tired of seeing these!
This first one is Sunday evening about 20 minutes after sunset. I tried all weekend avoid the typical comp of the falls, but I couldn't help it while walking past this view, back to my truck.

I shot this one Saturday evening. I climbed down to the base of the falls then hiked up to the middle level. The close view and high winds provided an interesting perspective on all the mist, which also picked up some nice evening light.

This one was Sunday evening, a pretty straight forward view of the falls.

Very nice, Joel. I especially like the new perspecitve in #2. The evening light on the mist is great.
I'd clone out what looks like green lens flare on the left border.
I really like how all 3 of you had different takes on this place, and no one posting is better than the others. When they are all this good, who cares!! Your eye and treatment of the light in all 3 of these is superb, Joel!
I too loved the #1 and #3.
Is that a flare in #2 - must be intentional ? ( sorry, if I am asking questions like this - I am pretty new here )

The perspective and complimentary color of the first one really grabs me. But the innovative comp in #2 is just as intriguing. Excellent work!

Excellent trio you got here Joel! There is something unique about each one. I love 'em all!

Welcome, Joel. Hard to get tired of this location. Thanks for sharing!

Last, but definitely not least!
As others noted, you captured some unique views here, Joel.
I just love #'s 1 & 2! Thank you for inspiring me to visit the Falls in the first place, and for the further inspiration that these images provide.
See ya there next year!

Nice stuff, Joel! I like #3. You're much too good to be only 23. I'm guessing you're really 50.... Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you at the falls.
I may return to Grand Falls for a second visit too. I thought sure John would be soaked by mist at the bottom of the falls, but apparently he and his camera were completely dry.

Thanks everyone!!! I'm glad nobody seems TOO tired of seeing pictures of this location yet!
Grant- I'm actually 24 I should probably get around to changing that on my site... I would have loved to meet you there also... Same time next year?
