I recently launched my new website and am hoping others could take a look and advise me as far as colors and mainly brightness. Though the website image brightness looks fine to me on my own LCD monitor, I wonder how it appears to others and am worried I may be posting my mages a bit dark ( in the eyes of other viewers) since the LCD monitors tend to be rather bright. Thanks, Mark Miller

Hello mark, I looked at your site, it appears you may use the same service as I. On my end your photos look fine to me. I use a some what calibrated monitor. As far as brightness and all, IMO it may depend on how the viewing monitor is set up. Some photo's IMO may seem a little to dark, but you may want them to appear that way.

I tested my monitor by doing a print then compared the print to the monitor of mine, I don't know if this is the best way to test it, but it works for me if I like the results. I print using a canon 9500 markII.

I would also be glad to hear from others, maybe I will learn another way........

Mark,

There is no way you can truly predict how an image will look on the monitors of visitors to your site. There are just too many variables that you cannot control. If your own monitor is calibrated, and it should be for the best accuracy, then make sure the images look good when you see them as posted on your site.

I see that you're using a Zenfolio template. It looks nice, and the images look fine. (my monitor is fully calibrated)

Two things... The Login link is tucked away at the bottom of the page. It should be near the top so that those who have accounts or who want to register, can login easily. In the text below your bio and contact info, you might want to change the topic, "Other" to "Services Offered" or something simlar. I had to look hard to see your offerings and prices, and I didn't see it at first.

Nice work!

Looking at your images on my Eye One calibrated monitor they do appear quite dark, in particular the back lit ones although all the shadow areas are near total black on mine ranging from 0-0-0 to 8-8-8 (checked with Take Color color checking utility). The front lit scenes are fine though.

The images look super on my Apple MacBook Pro laptop. Very nice images. Now you can add your website to your profile here at NPN!

Looks good on my (cheaply) calibrated monitor.

I think the your shots look great Mark nice work. I am not a huge wildlife photographer, but I think you have some wonderful stuff there. I really like your images from the Grand Canyon too. Thanks for sharing. Excellent work.
