Spooky Tree Trunk in March
Lack of springs make Kansans look harder.

I wish I could have gotten a oblique angle on this tree trunk the the wide angle didn't allow that. So I stood at the trunk to prevent my shadow from showing.

Later on, nearly full moon rose. Tonight's full moon is called the Worm Moon by spaceweather.com

I look forward to some CSNP presenting a photo of it tomorrow.

Nice creative shot. I like that long shadow reaching out.

This is a really cool shadow and very spooky indeed. I would crop out everything except immediately around the shadow to make it more abstract. Good eye to catch this shadow! It's something I probably would have overlooked.

Neat shot Larry.

This looks like a good candidate for black and white conversion. Have you given that a look, Larry?

One said take off the right 1/3 and another suggested a monocolor study.

Here's my attempt at both with one try.

Thanks for looking and taking time to comment.

That's pretty cool. I dig the more abstract feel of the BW

Yeah, I like the B&W, too. It has a stark and desolate feel to it.
