One local spot for me that always yields decent birding, is Lagerman Reservoir, situated SW of Longmont. The one or so mile of dirt road that skirts the res is great for Bald Eagles, Harriers, and Red Winged Blackbirds. Here are a couple Blackbirds from this past Sunday.

Thanks guys. Morris, yes Bill has been rubbing off on me. Has been good though shooting Avian, gets me out in the winter time, and makes use of what was my least used lens (100-400).

This just TICKS ME OFF! When I was down at Monte Vista NWR recently, I found a rwbb perched like this and took some shots, but he was so insignificant in the frame that not even cropping into it would provide enough satisfactory information to make a decent photo. The bird looked like a freakin' postage stamp! Same lens, but with a FF sensor and, apparently no ability to move in as close as you did, Nick.
Shorter version of this diatribe: I want to take rwbb pics this awesome!

All of these are spectacular!
I get a huge amount of enjoyment viewing the wildlife that you and others photograph so successfully. Thank you very much for that!

Great images! Really like the singing pose in the last image!

Nice shots Nick! I also like the light and singing pose best in #3!
Nicely done Nick. I like #2 the most as both legs are seen and the wings don't hide the shape of the bird's body. Might consider cloning out the tip of the rush in the LLH corner for simplicity.
