Thanks for all the comments on my last post.
This is a picture taken a few weeks ago in central Uppsala, Sweden (the city where I live).

I hope you like it

I like the composition, the colour and the snowflakes very much, just a slight shame about the out of focus berries across the back of the bird. Still an appealing image though.

I like the idea but it doesn't quite work for me. I think it needs either a) as it is but with no berries on back so showing all the bird or b) the head turned a touch more towards the camera and giving more eye contact as then the berrries wouldn't be as big an issue. As Simon has said, an appealing image which has very nearly worked.

nicely taken Erik, but it needs a little more eye contact I think. Nicely composed otherwise.

I am afraid I can only agree with the first two comments. These are not usually easy birds to photograph, Erik, so perhaps the best advice is to just keep at it.

Hi Erik,

I too have to agree that it’s a shot that so nearly works but without the eye contact it fails. Just keep at it

Hi Erik,

I agree with Robert on this one, but quite a nice feel to the image.

Cheers,

Lewis.

Well I like it.  For me you have captured the harshness of the environement it finds itself in, seeking shelter even if it is only under a few berries. Well done.
