I am going to Custer State Park and the areas near by this weekend.
Looking for the hot spots for Sunrise and Sunset near the area. I have come across a few hotspots in the Badlands area - any further info / scenic spots around the whole area will be helpful.
Thanks a lot.

Mt. Rushmore...
It's an iconic place to shoot, and you'll want to get there early enough so that you can catch the few minutes when there are no shadows on any of the faces. Also, travel up Iron Mountain Road and shoot the monument through some of the tunnels that are up there.
Don't forget to take the drive through Custer State Park itself at dusk or dawn. Lots of wildlife possibilities and one of the largest free roaming bison herds in the country. Also the drive up Hwy 385 to Deadwood is interesting especially Pactola Lake.
You mentioned the Badlands. If you can get up on Sheep Table Mountain for sunrise it would be worth your while but there are tons of great locations there.
Don't know if your into wildlife or not. There's a road that runs behind the Rushmore memorial thats great for Mt. Goats. Also there's a wild horse sanctuary not to far away. Its on private land and there's a large group of rescued wild horses that were placed there from around the western US. If interested E-mail me and I"ll look it up for you. Good area also for Mule Deer and of course Buffalo.
Thanks a lot Bill and Morris for your suggestions.
