Hey guys,

I just got back from an extended weekend Southern (for me) Spring wildflower trip. We visited the Sierra Foothills, Arvin, Wind Wolves, Cottonwood Canyon, Figueroa Mtn, Montana de Oro and Shell Creek Rd in SLO County. It was quite a wirlwind trip with my two older kiddos. We all had a good time, though I am definately tired today from all the travel.

Anyway I uploaded a few images last night. Here is one from Montana de Oro, a place I have wanted to visit in the Spring. I was told that it hasn't peaked yet. This spot, on PG&E private land, really grabbed my eye. So we stopped at ate lunch here. I liked how the grass was blowing amongst the poppies and other flowers.

I'll post more images as I upload more.

Thanks for sharing, Derek. I've never gone to Montana de Oro. I'll have
to try it. You have a great website.

I like the compostion of this, but find the color a bit flat, especially in the foreground. It looks like a nice place to spend time wandering around. It sounds like you had a nice trip.

Just a note: It snowed here in Columbia (2,200 ft) this morning!

I like how the softness in the fg grasses mirrors the softness in the breaking waves. Nice find!
