FYI, the loop in the valley is also partly under conmstruction (at least it was a couple of weekends ago), from the bridge to curry to the intersection for yosemity village where the store and the garage are. It's actually nice to walk it.
That means the road to curry village is 2-way instead of one-way, starting from the bridge where you take the classic 1/2 dome picture. Carefull there and keep your right.
They have completed the construction in the area Dan ...well for now. There still are delays going to AHW hotel.
Hwy 41 will be an issue for a lot of folks(and a major transportation problem for me) but honestly long over due!!! I had to go to Mariposa Grove on monday when i got back I felt like some one punched my kidneys for a couple of hours!!!!
Use hwy 140 if coming from the south it's 15 miles longer but allows for higher speed limits. Really time wise it's 10 min or so longer and a lot less frustrating than getting behind a motorhome for 30 miles doing 20mph.
