seaside lark!
They do sometimes just beg to be photographed.

A good capture of a difficult species Paul, the shot has great detail and the lark has an interesting pose.

Now for the critique

The rock is a little distracting and if this is a crop I'd like to see the bird a little smaller in the frame, only minor nits so no big deal

I agree with Andy over the nits, but it is nice that you got him in what was obviously full song.

Hi Paul,

Nice shot and well caught in full song :toast:

I too would like to see it a with a little more room on the left, I dont think the square crop suits it  Not a lot you can do about the rock.

BIF, just right for me. As a fan of rocks I would like to have seen it in focus, the main subject being so powerful, for me, it wouldn't have been a distraction. I can't vouch for anyone else though.

I think most of the nits have been covered but for me I think there has been a bit to much use of the burn tool to reduce the highlights which has flattened the image. Otherwise I think it's a good attempt with a nice bit of action captured.
