Flight at first light
Barn Owl, liked the backlighting on this one, though I'm not sure if the lack of a catch light detracts from the image, but not a great deal you can about it when your shooting into the sun, what do you think ? and thanks for looking.

Andy
It's an image that I also like. We don't always get lucky with the light in the eyes, but the light on the wings and the back of the owl is good. The background colours are good, the size and position is good.
In my opinion, a lot of people would be very pleased had they taken this shot. Well done.

Hi Andy, great shot and nice comp. taken in tricky lighting. :toast:

I love the mood and comp. For me a catchlight would look unnatural given where the light is coming from.

Lovely shot of the Barn Owl. The loss of catch light is not bothering me. Nice lighting and out of focus background makes the Owl pop out nicely.

lovely lighting through the wing Andy, no problem about the lack of catchlight as far as I'm concerned. A great shot.

Very nice image, the light showing through the wings makes it.

Nice light through the wing and a bit of rim lighting around the face make up for the lack of a catchlight. The viewing angle is great. Overall very appealing :toast:

Hello Andy

Cracking image I dont think this image really needs a catch light as its all about the light comming through the wings which you have captured beautifully.
