For those planning a visit to Estero Lagoon

The govermenment is posting the beach at Estero Lagoon. Last year the restricted area was the vegetated area between the lagoon and the beach. This year apparently the whole beach will be restricted. Presumably this doesn't affect the east side of the lagoon and the lagoon itself, but that's just my assumption. If you are planning a trip to spend some photo time at Estero lagoon, you may want to check with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission or the Town of Fort Myers Beach.
