We've been debating this behind the scenes for a little while now, but feel that that we need to make a few changes to the posting guidelines due to the volume and quality of images being posted now.
As of midnight today we have decided that UKNP will only accept images for critique which are taken using cameras of 15Mp or higher. This is to ensure that the quality of images posted to the forums remains at its highest. We are also making this change to ensure that you can all stay ahead of the competitors, and are fully able to enter your images into international competitions such as WPOTY. We have deliberately set the bar higher to ensure that you can build a good back catalogue of images which will last at least a couple of years before competitions and image libraries once again raise the pixel limit!
As we realise this may cause a short term problem for some of you until you can update your camera bodies, we have decided for a short transition period of two weeks to allow each member to post a two images per week from a camera of less than 15Mp. For non members the limit will be a single image per week.
