This is upstream a little ways from the main falls. I made the trip with Matt Kennedy into Bowers this past Sunday. What a beautiful place. Can't wait to get back this spring/summer when things green up.

Nice shot, Clayton. I like the cascade and the rock ledges as well as the colorful leaves. Maybe it's just me, but I think I would clone out the barkless tree trunk in the upper right.

I think this spot has some nice potential when things green up. Actually I know it does because I have already seen John Moore's shot of it.

Clayton, I really like your perspective on the creek. Your shot leads the eye from the falls up the creek.

I like your take on this Clayton. It really shows the height of this pretty little cascade, and I love the colors. It has a nice damp woods feel to it. I see what Randy is talking about on the bright portion of log in upper right. You might try burning it in so that it doesn't tug at the eye as much.

Say, do you think you'll be able to attend the spring gathering?

john - not sure about the spring gathering yet or not. sounds like it's going to be a good time for sure.

I like the contrast, the leading oblique line of the falls, the small white streamers on the upper edge of the falls created by the alternating white/dark, the feel of depth and flow in the photo. The angled branch in the foreground and those in the background add to the composition.
A real keeper.
Suggest you post it on Earth, Sea, Sky gallery.
