Here's a nice transition from April Fools Day to Easter. While going through my archives I came across this image from a certain "secret" location in Southern Utah which I haven't worked on until recently. Seriously, I took this on Easter morning 2006. Not sure why I took so long to process it, but here it is. C&C appreciated, image also posted on ESS.
'Fantastical' sunburst dude! One of the more appealing Mesa Arch images I've seen.
I'll tell you whats crazy is the difference in sun azimuth versus February - the rise location is maybe 30 degrees to the south, definitely not over the LaSals. Good stuff to know for sure.
Very nice image. The sunstar is very appealing and the warm glow off the rocks is sweet. Good light to show the layers in the valley below. Might want to watch the bottom edge of the arch as it appears to me that there is a little CA happening. Don't know why you would let this one sit around for several years.
I agree with the others' comments. The clarity of the background is excellent!
Might want to 'lose' the flares above and below the sun.

Nice! Glad you got around to working on this and sharing it! I wondered where the sun would be this time of year. I was going to shoot Mesa arch last Sunday but after shooting night shots into the wee morning I didn't have the motivation to get up for sunrise. Now I wonder what I missed.
Thanks for sharing, Josh!

All Mesa Arch shots are good. Some are just better than others. Yours falls into the "much better than others" category.
