I was punishing my body with a 2 hour session of spinning and the only thing that kept me going was the mesmerizing view of the clouds outside the window. It seems early for the spring storm clouds but I was very excited to witness this one, it was incredible! I hope one of you fine photographers was out there with a camera

Here is the story behind the image. We were attending the Colorado Council of Camera Clubs Quarterly competition when all of us were abuzz with the incredible scene over the reservour in Wheat Ridge just east of the Consolidated Water Company. I was the only person in attendance with a camera. It was my Canon G11 point and shoot. You will have to be satisfied with this one until some fortunate photographer posts what I know must be one of dozens taken during this spectacular evening.

Got a mental one! Was a pretty cool view as I was driving from the Springs up to Denver.

That was something, wasn't it? On my way home to Lyons I was treated to one of finest light displays I've seen in a long time. Where's the camera when you need it?

I could see those clouds from Colorado Springs last night. They were impressive to say the least.

Who said, "The best camera to use is the one you have with you"?

Byron, its Chase Jarvis, possibly one of the most badass commerical photographers today.

check out his stuff and his blog at http://www.chasejarvis.com

Doesn't hold any secrets, tells it like it is and generally gets people stoked about photography.
