Close to Home series cont.
Been a while since I posted in my "Close to Home" series, had today off so spent the morning driving around close to Longmont, shooting what took my fancy. Nothing too amazing here, but managed to capture a variety of subjects on my travels, and bumped into another photographer who gave me the heads up on the Heron Rookery.

Very nice shots. From what point did you shoot #4?
Rod Chandler & I scouted the area earlier this week.

Wow, those are all really, really nice, Nick! I could see bumping contrast of #1, but that's all. The rookery shot is very, very nice.

Dave I shot you an email!, Todd you're right #1 does need a little more contrast added, thanks guys!.

Barns are some of my best subjects and good sellers too. Really like that first one. Good work.

Agree with Dean and Todd that #1 is the best barn shot. I prefer the softer warm light and less reflected light from the windows. Good to see more of your local work getting posted.

Lots of good stuff close to home.
I love the compression in #1. What focal length was that shot at?

Nice. I like when folks can get out and make images close to home. Especially for those of us who do not live in Ouray

Thanks guys, Bill #1 was at 135mm on the 50D, with the 100-400mm!.

Great stuff, Nick. Here's another vote for #1, but I also really like the moon and cottonwoods image.

#1 is beautiful. The others are excellent as well, but 1 stands out for me.

Really like the pink light and the placement of the barn in the first image.

That is another excellent series from close to home from you. Great light, pp, and presentation! Such a great vantage point to show off Meeker's broad shoulders.

Nick I too like #1. I really like the color on the Mountains. I still like the second shot as well.
