Just before the snow

I have not been posting many images here (or on NPN) for a while because most of the work I've been doing is not landscape or nature. One thing about forums like this that are nature specific is that we never get to see or share other types of images we make. Plus, I made a trip or two to photograph nature that yielded nothing I would post here! So, here is one from early this past winter a day before the snow covered everything in Sequoia NP.

I like it. A very evocative, somber image. You got the lighting just right.

Looks very good, Jeffrey. Did you try the scene with the most left tree cropped out? Might be worth the experimental look with that view. The balance works nicely as is, not sure if the crop will throw that off too much.

Great mood captured here! I too Might prefer it with that left most trunk cropped out, but this more than works as presented. Good stuff!
