More Great Blue Herons
As Dan mentioned, they weren't very active, plus I got there late, but here are a couple more.

Gorgeous shots Kurt. #2 is very majestic.

I never ever tire of seeing these majestic birds captured so well here.
Both are simply fantastic!
Normally, I would advise 'losing' a branch as seen in #1, but it strikes me as integral to the composition here. It certainly isn't a distraction to my eye. Would love to hear your thoughts on that, as I'm sure you have 'em.

Thanks John and it seems like you share exactly the same thought as me. I was waiting to see what someone thought of it. I also would normally remove it, but since the heron was approaching a landing, I think it provides a reference to where the tree is. It also lets the viewer who might not be familiar with herons know what the bird is doing.

Great images Kurt! Like the pose in the second image.

Kurt- love that second image! The pose is great.

Both of these are nice, but the second image takes the cake for me too because of that awesome pose.

These two are excellent as well, and I really like the lines in the pose in 2.

I like both 1 and 2. The Landing Image I really like the best. I know how hard it is to get shots like that :) Awesome job!
