Hi
This is one I took about 3 years ago. I had seen plenty of pictures of blue tits on the bottle, but none flying to the bottle so that was my challange.
I used a plain bacground.
1d mk3
100mm macro
infrared beam breaker made by Woods electronics.
3 High speed flash heads - 1/20000 sec
Excelent work and techs Dale . I have to say though,(oops) that the lack of a "meaningfull " (for want of a better word ) detailed background leaves a superb technical image looking a little too studio orientated for me. I do uderstand the difficulties with HS flash and backgrounds etc and that's partly why I gave up ! There is always the danger that the high speed grabbing of a moment we will never see with our eyes becomes a little "artificial "
As I have said though- a great technical achievement ,
Sorry to be a little negative. If it's any consolation- I never really liked the old Hosking flight stuff anyway.
Cheers

Looks like you've got the hang of this high speed malarky then.
