... but gone tomorrow.
It has been a good season for hares at Elmley, and my brown hare file has gone from virtually nothing to several hundred images. Two shots still eluded me, I wanted one of a single hare running and I wanted a good shot of them boxing. I suspect that the boxing shot will have to wait until next year now, but yesterday I did manage to get a few shots of one running out in the open. This is the best of the bunch, presented in panoramic format as I think that suits the subject best. I have added a bit of canvas on the right as, needless to say, on all the sharp ones the hare is on the right hand side of the frame.
It's a good looking image David and the pano crop works well. The only nit is, where you have added the canvas you have cloned in the brown splodge too, so now you have two identical brown slodges.

hi david
good action shot, well done, i have been on a hare project for the last 3weeks and have taken many many shots of varying kinds, hares on the move are very hard to get right, because unless you have seen them run, you dont relise how fast they travel, i to am trying to get hares boxing - nearest to this is one hare boxing on its own - very funny shot, anyway great colour, detail and composed well

Dear oh dear. How did I miss that second brown splodge? Thanks, Andy.
Well caught David. I have still to find any hares never mind photograph them. Nice to hear that others have problems with subject and canvas etc. There are so many things to consider and get right and at the same time capture the shot. Easy - I don't think so

Nit already mentioned by Andy .
Nice shot, shame re the splodge but the rest of the shot is worth correcting it :)

You've caught the hare nicely and the pano crop works well.
